Academic Affairs Division :
The Division is headed by the Deputy Registrar Academic. The division is responsible to the registrar and charged with the smooth administration of academic programmes records and compliance with Academic Regulations in the Polytechnic. The division serve as the secretariat of the Academic Board of the Polytechnic. It takes minutes at all meetings and implement the decision of the Board. The division comprises of the following units in discharging its mandate:
- Admissions Office.
- Examinations and Records Office.
Admission Office
The Admission Office attend to general requests on admissions, screening and registration of admitted candidates, verification of students' results and confirmation of studentship.
Examinations and Records Office.
The unit is responsible for the safekeeping of students' records and ensuring prompt issuance of transcript upon request. It is responsible for issuing of results Statement and certificates

Head of Department
Nasiru Jatau was born on 3rd January, 1967. He obtained NCE at the then College of Education Sokoto in affiliation with Institute of Education Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1988 and later his B.A. English at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto in 1995 . He took up appointment with Kebbi State College of Preliminary Studies Yelwa Yauri (now Kebbi State College of Basic and Advanced studies) in 1998 as Assistant Lecturer, In the Year 2000, he was seconded to Primary Education Board as LGEA Secretary. He served as Shanga Local Government Education Authority Secretary from January 2000-July 2008. Among the responsibilities he held were: HOD English Asst Examiner O' Level English ABU Zaria Centre Supervisor (IJMB), Poly, Ibadan UTME Centre Supervisor COBAS, Yauri Director Consultancy Services Unit (COBASCONS) COBAS Yauri Secretary; Exams Monitoring Committee, COBAS Yauri Secretary; ICT Management Committee, COBAS Yauri Supervisor National Census (Yauri LG Kebbi State) P.R.O College of Basic and Advanced Studies, Yauri President; Academic Staff Union, COBAS Yauri Member; I & J Staff Establishment Comm. COBAS, Yauri Secretary; Consultancy Services Unit, COBAS, Yauri He was seconded to Kebbi state Polytechnic Dakingari in May 2015 as the Deputy Registrar Academics. Nasiru Jatau is Married with Children. His hobbies include reading, surfing the web and travelling among others.
